   I'm not 16 anymore May 24, 2008
Written by James999
what I mean by ’I’m not 16 anymore’ is that, hearing Indisipline with the long intro..in this case the tickler ending before (way before?) the chord-changing thrashing begins...it just does’nt hold me as rapt as when I used to hear it when I was 16. Or when I heard it at the pier in 1982; with Bill Bruford doing almost a dance as he hit his percussion (while Robert watched from stage right, in tuxedo). Its the intro to Indiscipline- 1 cord strummed in time, with the drummer(s) having a license to thrash/improvise. Wow. I’m not Sherlock Homes, but seriously. What are we supposed to be going on here? Sigh. Its cheap. Who knows? Maybe those ’new’ fans (the new 16 year olds that every ’pro’ rocker would like to have as their fanbase) will get it. Yea that must be it. Yep, you hooked them there.

Coitus Interruptus, THAT’s what THIS is!!! No need to prove KC can do fine without Bill: The Level Five EP already did that to me. My guess is that, since this tune was originally conceived as a drum solo, this fragment was not a random choice. Why not the whole tune? I’d love to hear it. (source recording is incomplete? C’mon, there’s got to be more!) I won’t sell it as a bootleg. I promise!!!

I turn 55 today and have been listening to the wonderful music of King Crimson for 39 years! I first heard Indiscipline live in 1981 and look forward to hearing in again August 11th in Philadelphia. The sneak preview is beautiful.

It will be always great music. May 19, 2008

What I like most about King Crimson is how they keep developing themselves. Nevertheless you are hearing a tune written more than twenty years ago, it is heard really fresh, as if it is a new song. This is one of the only bands that have achieved this. Congratulations!!! Hope to see you live.
