I think since the departure of Bill Bruford to the world of jazz, Gavin is the guy for this band. I hope he has joined not only for the 40th anniversary and KC release a new album with this incredibly talented drummer.

Oh my. How can they work so well together after such a short time? This is a wonderful take on B’Boom. I expect great things from this re-animated KC.

Minerals drip in dank cavernous places.
Only the light splits where rock breaks
into black petals,  torchless among painted
skins of herdless animals revered on a wall,
skirmishing before the hunter’s spear yet again.

Crimson convenes and the world remembers itself.

Thanks so much for posting this sampling of things to come.
I wish I were able to attend one of the Crimson shows this time around.
However my car barely makes it up the mountain from Charlotte to Asheville...let alone all the way to Nashville.

Hoping for another gig in the future....something near Charlotte, NC?

Until then.....the universe is a better place with Crimson in the air once again!
Peace,

Mike

Though I’d suggest a less frothy tone than Vargan I have to agree. Immediately after Bababoomboomdiddyboom ended I pointed iTunes at THRAKATTAK. Sorry it disagreed with Mr. Belew but hey, when it aint there... it just aint there.

One of my favorite things about KC is that the percussion has always been so integral to the whole, for better or (for what may occasionally perceived as) (though not by me) worse.
This is a wonderful piece that stands on its own, and bodes VERY well for the upcoming shows. Bravo.

Just amazing! I can only dream I will get the chance to see this new Crim outfit work together. I am sure it will rock!

Thank you Mr. Fripp for the sacrifice of going through these touring miseries all over again and making the calls to bring the Mighty Crim back. Your sacrifice has made the world better. Bababoomboom is a testament to that.

Thanks Mr.Stormy for this, the first soundbyte of the new KC. The anticipation was high, now the surprise makes it even higher. It’s great to hear that these two drummers are pushing forward and that the evolution of KC, although probable and inevitable, is already palpable.

I will be waiting patiently for this.
